Executive Management Team

 

Steve Sr. Tamanko, P.E.

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Tamanko brings over 45 years of construction and management experience to Bascon.  In addition to his wide experience in design and construction management, Mr. Tamanko is especially qualified in the area of structural engineering and has extensive knowledge of design and construction of hangars, maintenance facilities and heavy industrial installations.  Currently Mr. Tamanko is a Registered Engineer in the states of Ohio and Kentucky.  He is also fluent in the spoken and written English and Hungarian languages.

Prior to his work with Bascon, Mr. Tamanko received a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and continued on to receive a Master of Business Administration degree from Xavier University.  He then worked for Amherst Building Company, a design/build general contractor in Cincinnati, Ohio.  His responsibilities with Amherst included design, sales and project management.  Mr. Tamanko later managed Armco's National Contracting Operations from its inception to a $47 million per year design/build general contracting operation.  During the years he was associated with Armco, he held various construction-related positions, including Estimating Engineer, Project Manager, Sales Manager and Vice President of Marketing and Special Projects.

 

Frank J. Tamanko, P.E.

President

Mr. Tamanko has over 20 years of experience in the design and construction industry.  As President, he is responsible for generating new design/build projects as well as maintaining existing business relationships.  As a designer, he is responsible for both mechanical and electrical project designs and oversees several other members of the design and construction team.  Currently Mr. Tamanko is a Registered Engineer in the states of Alabama, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Bascon, Mr. Tamanko earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and worked for KZF, Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio.  During his association with KZF, Inc., his responsibilities included mechanical and electrical design for industrial and institutional facilities.

Upon joining Bascon, Mr. Tamanko performed assistant project management and project management responsibilities.  He provided mechanical and electrical design and review services, and assisted with both the preparation and presentation of prospective new projects. 

 

Tom Beke

Vice President

Mr. Beke has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. As Vice President, he is directly responsible for the project development of New Design Building Projects as well as maintaining existing client relationships.  As a Project Manager he is responsible for Development, Project Management and Quality Control for various projects, and oversees several other members of the design and construction team.

Prior to joining Bascon, Mr. Beke received a B.B.A. degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Cincinnati and continued on to receive his Master of Business Administration degree from Xavier University.  He spent a year and a half with the Turner Construction Company where his responsibilities included estimating, project coordination and supervision.

At Bascon, Mr. Beke has performed Business Development and Project Manager responsibilities for various projects for many repeat customers such as Jorgensen Steel, Southwestern Ohio Steel, Worthington Industries, and Executive Jet Management.
